The reflection in the door is the best way to welcome visitors and to tell them what the place is working about!

Like most of the people living in this city , that's a door through which I've never walked , and probably never will..

(I took the picture from my car)

The world wide famous HOTEL NEGRESCO is not only a place to rest , it's also a real museum ,

showing paintings , sculptures , precious rugs and many other pieces of art.

The man at the entrance is wearing a costume from the past, but shows very modern efficiency when it comes to provide you taxis, flowers, addresses or anything else you may need..

The city is nesting between sea and mountains.

The oldest part of it is quietly resting under the red cover made of tiles roofs.

Here and there, clock towers appear, to let us know that time never stops its run ..

My dear friend Jilly, from MentonDailyPhoto , invited me to PHOTO MENTON yesterday.

A very interesting exhibition, where it's possible to discover and to admire the work of photographers living in south of France and in northen Italy, near the frontier.

Jilly was one of them.

This year, the special guest was the singer Charles Aznavour.

Travelling all around the world, he takes many moving and sensitive pictures .

Visiting such exhibitions allows to meet interesting people, to discover other ways to see the world, to find inspiration..and to share time with a good friend!

Last week-end was National Day in Monaco. All shop-windows were decorated with national flag (red and white) and some pictures of the Prince (on the chair). And in THAT shop, clothes were shown in that strange way, like if the Prince was sitting between two special bodyguards..

At least, those two won't be afraid to die for their prince!

That's why this rusty monument was erected by Bernar Venet .
